Token Creek Eco-Inn
An Audubon Society member recently told me that Token Creek Conservany, just one mile from Token Creek Eco-Inn, is one of the best kept secrets of area bird watchers. The abundant springs and absense of many people makes this a great place to see a wide variety of woodland and prarie birds. Bald eagles even over winter here to feed on the trout in Token Creek. Other nearby birding areas include: Token Creek County Park, Patrick Marsh, Pheasant Branch Conservancy, Governor Nelson State Park, and Audubon Goose Pond State Natural Area.

Speckled Hen Inn
Walk the trail here and you will discover a spot where three bird habitats intersect. A brushy fence-row with a mulberry tree runs down to a marshy wetland area that is bordered by a large number of pine and spruce trees. There is even a bench to sit and watch and wait.

Naeset Roe B&B on Washington
Birding is fast becoming a great way to enjoy nature and Wisconsin has a rich heritage. The Inn is located a short drive from some of the best spots in Wisconsin with the University of Wisconsin Arboretum and Cook Memorial Arboretum. You can also walk three blocks up the Yahara River and view the peregrine falcon in her nest high up on a pole across the water. So grab your binoculars and set your sites on birds in Wisconsin. If you just want to sit on the porch of the inn you'll see some song birds, hear the sandhill cranes and maybe even see a hummingbird or two.
