Stay at Alma-area B&Bs, Go Birding by Mini-Train

Sunday, August 14th, 2011

This was just too cute not to post! You can take a birding tour of the Tiffany Bottoms State Wildlife Area near the Chippewa River, the largest intact floodplain forest in Wisconsin, and here’s the twist – you’ll do your birding from the vantage point of a mini-train. The next birding trip is Sunday, September 11. Book your birding expedition and reserve a room at the Tritsch House B&B in Alma or one of the other B&Bs in the area – the Arbor Inn to the north and the Lumber Baron Inn and Rainbow Ridge Farm B&B to the south. Did you know the Wisconsin Bed & Breakfast Association has one of the most extensive state birding maps around? Well, we do!

Book a getaway at any one of the 14 inns listed and enjoy bringing Fido along. By the way, the “dog days of summer” unofficially run through early September, so get out and enjoy this nice stretch of warm weather in Wisconsin.
