See Which B&Bs Garnered “Best of the Midwest”

The editors of Midwest Living have just released their annual “Best of the Midwest” issue and we offer hearty congratulations to these highly deserving member B&Bs: Where to eat in Bayfield: Rittenhouse Inn. The editors called it one of their all-time favorites with wraparound porch and luxe rooms. Where to stay in Door County: Door County Lighthouse Inn, Eagle Harbor Inn and White Gull Inn all made the list! Top kid-friendly stops in Wisconsin: Rainbow Ridge Farms B&Bin La Crosse, thanks to what the editors call a “go-ahead-and-get-dirty-attitude.” [caption id="attachment_1137" align="aligncenter" width="300"] Rainbow Ridge Farms B&B in Onalaska is very kid-friendly!! See Which Wisconsin Inns Made Top 30 List in Midwest Living Magazine

We just received word from Midwest Living Magazine that four of our member B&Bs are included in their list of the region's 30 Best Bed & Breakfast Destinations. The magazine's writers spent more than a year researching B&Bs, staying at inns all over the Midwest. The inns were secretly graded on decor, the owner's approach to hospitality, quality of the room amenities with private baths a requirement, quality and presentation of the homemade breakfast, and general atmosphere. So, in the words of Midwest Living writers, we congratulate these inns who represent the best of the best in B&B travel: McCormick House Inn in Hayward, WI – At this 1887 Victorian, patrons enjoy pillow-top mattresses, Egyptian cotton sheets, preprogrammed iPods, and English-style gardens. Old Rittenhouse Inn in Bayfield, WI – Stately Queen Anne architecture meets modern amenities at this Inn which overlooks Lake Superior. Inn at Cedar Crossing in Sturgeon Bay, WI – An on-site bakery churns out locally famous morning buns. Honeybee Inn Bed and Breakfast in Horicon, WI – Guests of this Victorian come to relax on four-poster feather beds.
