Farmers Bed & Breakfast program can be tailored to your needs.  Over the years, Farmers has developed an expertise in insurance products for the Bed & Breakfast / Hospitality industry.  I can provide insurance for small lodging establishments (private homes with fewer than 10 bedrooms available for lodging use) that offer overnight accommodations and breakfast for guests.

Choosing your insurance carrier is one of the most important decisions you'll make.  There are many options available and we can be very valuable to you in this selection process with our in-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry.  In this difficult economic climate, we know how important containing costs have become.  Farmers has worked diligently to develop stable, competitive, and comprehensive programs, and we are proud of the results.

I have resided for many years in Hammond Township (St Croix County, WI) and own Walker Insurance Agency.  I'm licensed in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and Missouri.

Tourism Federation of Wisconsin
The Tourism Federation of Wisconsin (TFW) is a lobbying coalition of trade and promotional associations and organizations actively involved in Wisconsin's tourism industry. TFW serves as Wisconsin tourism industry's unified voice in government relations, cooperatively seeking to improve Wisconsin's $12 billion tourism industry through supportive legislation and policies. The Wisconsin Bed & Breakfast Association is a member of TFW.

Wisconsin Tourism Fast Facts

• Tourism is one of the three pillars of industry in Wisconsin, right alongside agriculture and manufacturing. Travelers spend between $12-13 billion in Wisconsin each year.

• Wisconsin Tourism supported 286,394 full-time equivalent jobs in 2009 and $6.72 billion in wages and salaries.

• Last year, tourism returned $1.35 billion to the state in government revenues as well as $611 million in local government revenues. Tax revenues help pay for roads, schools, programs for the disabled and elderly and more.

• Along with being a tremendous economic driver, tourism adds a great deal to our quality of life in Wisconsin, which in turn contributes to people choosing to live here, businesses choosing to relocate or expand here and top-notch employees choosing to work here.

• At the state level, the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s marketing budget is approximately $10 million annually. That budget, combined with the strength of tourism organizations and destinations all around the state and the leverage they have, makes a clear case that tourism remains one of the best investments going for Wisconsin.

• The perception of Wisconsin’s tourism industry by Wisconsin residents is very positive. A 2009 public opinion survey showed unanimous agreement among those surveyed that tourism is an important part of the state’s economy and that promoting in-state tourism, outdoor recreation, and business and leisure travel to Wisconsin can play a role in the state’s economic recovery.
