Let the Apple Tree Lane Bed & Breakfast welcome you to their historic 1880's Victorian farmhouse, complete with gingerbread trim situated in a 7.5 acre park-like setting along 400 feet of beautiful Crystal River frontage.

As soon as you step onto the front porch and peer through the original double-glass doors, etched with the historic name "Crystal River Farms", you know you are in a special place!  Enter the spacious & welcoming foyer with wood flooring, 11 foot ceilings and an impressive walnut staircase winding to the restful guest rooms (first floor guest room also available).  The elegant parlor with pretty bay window sits off the foyer and has huge pocket doors that lead to the lively Orchard Room.  It is the perfect gathering space.  The cozy wood stove frames an ornate antique mirrored mantle and invites you to sit a spell around her warmth and cozy up to read, explore the wall of history, or catch a game on the Inn's big screen TV.

You can also step outside onto the large covered porch and enjoy the glider or swing while overlooking the perennial gardens & apple orchards providing beauty & fragrance for the Inn.

Stroll past the historic coach house, hen house and barn to the Crystal River, pond and trickling stream growing fresh watercress!  Meander across a footbridge to a private island spot, where fish are ready to be caught and deer frolic in the woods.  A perfect area for fishing, walking/hiking, cross-country skiing, snow- mobiling, bird watching, ice skating or a hockey game on the two ponds!  

Inside this beautiful home you will enjoy the comforts of five large uniquely appointed guest suites all with private attached baths (double whirlpool/fireplace & original antique claw foot tub room available), luxurious bedding & fine linens, plush robes, cable TV (w/built-in DVD/VCR), bedside CD alarm clocks, antiques, central air + individual climate controlled units and high speed wireless internet.  

On-site massage therapy is available or we would be happy to provide concierge services for off-site spa services of many kinds.  Indulge in relaxation!

A late afternoon welcome reception with complementary beverage is included. It is the perfect opportunity to meet other guests, learn more about the area, and hear recommendations of what and where to go as you plan your next day's activities! Waupaca has something to offer everyone, no matter your hobby, ice fishing, hockey, boating, shopping, biking, golfing, antiquing, hunting, dining or just relaxing. The famous chain 'o lakes is minutes away to enjoy a canoe, kayak or boat ride, water ski, swim, fish or ride the Chief Waupaca or stern wheel boat for a guided tour of the famous chain and its beautiful scenery and crystal clean waters.

A gourmet breakfast is served each morning in the dining room with fireplace and is set with crystal, china silver and candlelight.  Breakfast in your room, on the covered porch, or on-the-go is also available by request.  Early risers can awake to freshly brewed coffee and teas, set up on the buffet to enjoy with the morning paper before breakfast is served.  It is only fitting that the house specialty is apple pancakes & apple strudel muffins.  Although the créme brulee French Toast and the banana split bread rival for the favorites of the house.
