Columbus Carriage House B&B

Columbus Carriage House B&B is a beautiful 1902 Victorian home located just northeast of Madison Wisconsin. We have 3 rooms, each with a private bathroom. Beds are top of the line Stearns and Fosters pillowtopped beds. We have clawfoot tubs with telephone style shows. Every room is air conditione and beautifully decorated.

The front of the house features a wraparound porch filled with wicker furniture. Relax on the porch and enjoy the safe, tree line streets of this small Midwestern town. You can enjoy coffee or tea on the porch in the morning. Watch children and neighbors walking the streets and meandering about this quiet little town.

The B&B features a beautiful music room equipped with an early 1900's upright grand piano. The dining room has a large table that seats 12 comfortably. There is a fireplace in the living room, a library filled with books and an area for playing cards and games.

Your hosts Nancy & Wayne Osterhaus are friendly and welcoming. We will do our best to make your stay memorable.

Breakfast features local fruits and vegetables and we use local eggs from range fed chickens. Our coffee is a special Ancora blend from a local coffee shop. Guests love our breakfast. We serve a wide variety of dishes and will try to accommodate your special needs.

Columbus is known for one of the Midwests largest antique mall. Antiquers come from all over the country to check out furniture, lamps, clothing and other items. There are several antique stores in the downtown area in addition to the mall.

We have several wonderful dining establishments in Columbus. James Street Dining Company features a high end, gourmet menu. It is open Tuesday through Saturday evening for dinner, and there is a firepit in the patio area.

Columbus Carriage House B&B has a large classroom / workroom in the carriage house that can be used for scrapbooking, training, etc. This room features white boards, air conditioning and large work spaces. Guests are welcome to reserve this area for their needs.

We also have a farm and can accommodate bed and bale for short stays. Bale includes a private electric fenced pasture for your horse. Health papers are required. Guests who are interested can visit the farm and enjoy the country setting. The farm is 118 acres. We have a fire pit where you can enjoy a bonfire in the evening. Please ask for details if you would like to include a farm visit in your stay.

Columbus Carriage House Bed & Breakfast is close to the Amtrak station. We are pleased to pick up guests from the station, or it is a short walk to the B&B.
