Cream Pitcher Bed and Breakfast

***Morel Mushroom Festival is in Muscoda May 15, 16 & 17, 2009!***

Situated among the hills in Richland County, this unglaciated area offers awesome beauty as well as outdoor activities in every season.  There are more than 3 miles of hiking trails through the 100 acres of woodland. Watch deer, turkeys and other wildlife; see and hear many species of birds. Enjoy the creek that flows close by.
The innkeepers have a large collection of pitchers from the 1930's, 40's, and 50's.  The home is embellished with antiques. The Cream Pitcher was meticulously hand-crafted to ensure the proper blend between modern amenities and old-fashioned quality and comfort.
Guests of The Cream Pitcher experience a retreat in nature. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, or just relaxing.
JARED'S ROOM    A spacious, masculine room with its own private entrance; a screened porch with hammock chairs, this "northwoods" room has a comfortable queen size bed, a private bath with a large, double shower.  It has a great view of the woods...you can watch wildlife and listen to the birds or step outside and walk the trail into the woods.
KATIE'S ROOM   This inviting room has a window seat where you can enjoy the panoramic view or relax and read a book; a feminine room with its own entrance onto the front deck. Sleep comfortably on the queen size bed after you've enjoyed a relaxing bath in the two person whirlpool tub in your room. This room also has a private bath.
Our new rooms on the lower level are named after Vern's great-great-grandparents who settled here in 1854.
Select a book from the bookshelves and read by the  wood stove in the common area- or step out onto the patio to relax.
ANDREW'S ROOM  A room with a French-country look. Private bath and a queen size bed.  There's also a single hide-a-bed in this room

Newly Built B&Bs Do Exist in Wisconsin 02/02/2012 There’s a long-standing myth the B&B industry can’t seem to shake and it’s that all inns are Victorian with antiques and doilies everywhere.  It’s just not so.  Styles of architecture among B&Bs in Wisconsin run from historic mansions to lakeside cabins to ultra-contemporary new builds.  Let’s focus on that last...

Wisconsin B&Bs for Business Travelers 01/31/2012 A Wisconsin B&B may not be the first type of lodging that comes to mind when planning a business trip, but give it a try.  Lots of inns offer corporate rates and even have meeting rooms right on premise.  Other reasons to stay at a B&B for business?  It’s quiet,...

Warm Up with Soup (and Grilled Cheese) 01/25/2012 Some might call it a classic combination – tomato soup and grilled cheese.  Of course, with it being Wisconsin, we always suggest making the sandwich using an artisan cheese.  Download the brochure of artisan cheese varieties and think about pairing two or three cheeses.  Then whip up this recipe for...
