Enchanted Valley B&B

A PIECE OF HEAVEN.  The secluded Enchanted Valley B&B, nestled in the beautiful rolling hills and valleys of rural Cross Plains, lies on five acres of both lush forest and open fields.  Window walls & cathedral ceiling incorporate structure with nature and likewse, body with soul.  Listen to the quiet as you watch birds & wildlife from your heavenly down bed.  (Each room has a private patio door coaxing you to open decks to enjoy the forests, gardens and breathtaking, panoramic views.   Stroll Ken and Marcia's organic flower/vegetable/ herb gardens.  (Their grandchildren were vendors with them at the Madison Farmers Market.)   Marcia has a counseling degree & studies mindfulness philosophies, EFT & holistic healing.  She is a Reiki Master Teacher and a  certified massage therapist offering a soothing massage outdoors or by the crackling woodstove.  Ken illustrated and wrote a children's book and wrote a Civil War book.  He enjoys geneology, history and gardening.  Ken & Marcia have clowned in the Madison Holiday Parade with their children & grandchildren.

Two More B&B Myths to Dispel 02.10.2010
Time to dispel a B&B myth or two.  First, there’s this notion that innkeepers hover. Not true. They are there when you need them, but otherwise keep busy behind the scenes while respecting your privacy. Just like the best five-star hotels. Myth #2: You have to eat breakfast at a communal table. The answer in many cases is no.  Some [...]

Performing Arts Season Is Music To B&Bers Ears 02.10.2010
Seems some of our innkeepers believe in the sound of music to soothe the weary traveler.  There’s a Jazz Brunch at Fountain Chateau B&B in Hustler.  A regular sing-along to benefit local charities at the Audubon Inn in Mayville.  And on-site concerts at the Parsonage B&B in Madison and Tufts’ Mansion in Neillsville. In Green [...]

Winners of 2009 Wisconsin B&B Recipe Cook-off 01.11.2010
