Fargo Mansion Inn

"RELAX, UNWIND, AND MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME". Need we say anymore! We are located just off of I94 right between Madison and Milwaukee. We are also just 2 blocks off the town square where you can walk to many good restaurants, great shops, galleries, antiques, and more. Why not plan a "Wine tasting week end with us! The Wine Vineyard is an excellent shop that will educate you in the fine use of wines for all occasions. We can set up a private wine tasting for you and others right at the Inn! Book all of the rooms for a "Wine Tasting Week End". Special rates for this package. Just ask! We can also make it a dinner and wine tasting package.
Lake Mills is also a "Wisconsin Main Street Community” and offers a wonderful calendar of events each year. Just ask and we will send or e-mail you a calendar of events.
Our location offers you an opportunity to enjoy all four seasons. Weather it's boating, skiing or swimming in Rock Lake, Bicycling the Glacial Drumlin Bike Trail, hiking at Aztalan State park, or just enjoying the quaintness of our small town square. Visit the square for excellent farmer's markets every Wednesday May through October. Throw in a Band Concert, and this is what Norman Rockwell would choose for his next painting.
No matter the season, we are the reason you want to visit us.
The Fargo Mansion has hosted over 75 weddings in the past twenty two years. We are an ideal location for your special day.  See our website, fargomansion.com and click on the "Weddings" page for more pictures and information. We can host your wedding anytime of year. We also offer a full list of vendors for you to use for your special day. Besides weddings, we can help with any special occasion, be it showers, anniversary parties, office events, and more. Our Inn and grounds are here for you to use!
The Fargo Mansion Inn is a renovated historic Queen Ann structure listed both on the state and national registries. We sit on an almost acre corner lot, just two blocks from our "Norman Rockwell" town square. The town square, (actually a triangle) is known as "Commons Park" and has been the home to many annual civic events. There is always something going on down there, and offers something for everyone. Our favorites are the "Town and Country Days" the fourth Saturday in June, the "Arts Fair”, the third Saturday in July, our favorite, the "Fall Festival of Color" the first Sunday in October. We end the year of course with a "Classic Christmas", always the first full week end in December. Join us as Santa arrives in a horse drawn wagon, and all of the many specials in all of the shops around the square. Also, visit one of the states tallest Santas, over 40ft high, built many years ago by high school students. It is truly a Lake Mills Holiday Tradition.
As charter and founding members of the Wisconsin Bed and Breakfast Association, we have always been involved in the Bed and Breakfast industry in the State of Wisconsin. We believe that WBBA is what makes this industry such a huge success in this state. It is looked upon as one of the best in the country by other state associations. You can be assured that this association is always looking for ways to improve all of our guest’s experiences in this great state of Wisconsin where tourism and our guests are always our number one priority.
As you look to your future travel plans, we hope that you will always consider a stay at a Bed and Breakfast. At our Inn, we are always thinking of our guests. Choose from any of our 5 guest rooms for your lodging needs. Kids and pets are welcome on a limited basis, please ask. Remember we also serve a full breakfast everyday! After checking in, enjoy complimentary refreshment or a glass of wine! So, book with us and receive 20% off Sunday - Thurs. or stay two nights in the same room any weekend, and get the same discount. Our way of helping you get here during these hard economic times. So, with every $100.00 you spend you get $25.00 back. This offer is good through Janurary 2010!

Two More B&B Myths to Dispel 02.10.2010
Time to dispel a B&B myth or two.  First, there’s this notion that innkeepers hover. Not true. They are there when you need them, but otherwise keep busy behind the scenes while respecting your privacy. Just like the best five-star hotels. Myth #2: You have to eat breakfast at a communal table. The answer in many cases is no.  Some [...]

Performing Arts Season Is Music To B&Bers Ears 02.10.2010
Seems some of our innkeepers believe in the sound of music to soothe the weary traveler.  There’s a Jazz Brunch at Fountain Chateau B&B in Hustler.  A regular sing-along to benefit local charities at the Audubon Inn in Mayville.  And on-site concerts at the Parsonage B&B in Madison and Tufts’ Mansion in Neillsville. In Green [...]

Winners of 2009 Wisconsin B&B Recipe Cook-off 01.11.2010
A comfortable bed is just half of the B&B promise.  The other half is food!  The end of the year brought the second annual Wisconsin B&B cook-off with innkeepers around the state competing for bragging rights.  This year’s featured ingredient was wild rice.  Did you know it’s a grain and tastes incredibly good in both [...]
