Fo'c'sle Inn

Enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior.  Our home is located in Siskiwit Bay Marina/ Cornucopia Harbor.  Our two rooms have private entries from a second floor deck right on the water's edge.  We are surrounded by Lake Superior to the West and North, and a state designated trout stream, the Siskiwit River, on the East side.  We are four miles from the Apostle Island's National Park and the Squaw Bay Caves.

Our spacious rooms feature queen size beds, gas log fireplaces, private attached bathrooms, in room movies, and a panoramic view of Lake Superior.  A full gourmet breakfast is served directly to you in the privacy of your room.
From your room you can take a walk down the sandy beach and see Eagle Island and Sand Island and if your timing is right, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset too.

Relax in solitude or browse through the marina and local gift shops.  The Squaw Bay Sea Caves are right over in the next bay.  Enjoy a day over in Bayfield or Madeline Island.  You could take a day trip down the south shore through Herbster, Port Wing and over to Superior or Duluth.  If you like fishing, you could book a fishing charter in Port Wing.  There are many kayaking spots near.  Some of the spots are the Lost Creek Slough, Bark Bay Slough and the Squaw Bay Caves.  There several nice hiking trails.  The trail above the the Squaw Bay Sea Caves in the Apostle National Islands is a great trail.  There is also the Lost Creek Waterfalls trail.

Newly Built B&Bs Do Exist in Wisconsin 02/02/2012 There’s a long-standing myth the B&B industry can’t seem to shake and it’s that all inns are Victorian with antiques and doilies everywhere.  It’s just not so.  Styles of architecture among B&Bs in Wisconsin run from historic mansions to lakeside cabins to ultra-contemporary new builds.  Let’s focus on that last...

Wisconsin B&Bs for Business Travelers 01/31/2012 A Wisconsin B&B may not be the first type of lodging that comes to mind when planning a business trip, but give it a try.  Lots of inns offer corporate rates and even have meeting rooms right on premise.  Other reasons to stay at a B&B for business?  It’s quiet,...

Warm Up with Soup (and Grilled Cheese) 01/25/2012 Some might call it a classic combination – tomato soup and grilled cheese.  Of course, with it being Wisconsin, we always suggest making the sandwich using an artisan cheese.  Download the brochure of artisan cheese varieties and think about pairing two or three cheeses.  Then whip up this recipe for...
