Grapevine Log Cabins

Our 3 private cabins are rustic, yet with all the modern conveniences. Two cabins have lofts with two twin beds and a queen bed downstairs and one has a queen bed and pull out queen couch all on one floor.
They have microwaves, refrigerators, table and chairs, fireplaces, air conditioning, comfortable couches and modern bathrooms.
Light entwined grapevines cast a romantic glow while comfy homemade quilts adorn the beds.
Cook out on our outdoor gas grills. A picnic area is provided and fire grills, for sitting out at night in the moonlight under the stars. Wide porches adorn the cabins for relaxing.
Everything is furnished for your enjoyment. Coffee, dishes, bedding. The bathrooms have fluffy towels, hair dryers, shampoos, & shower gels.
We have a mile long hiking trail in which you can see deer sometimes, turkeys, birds. In the summer time you can pick blackberries, in season, on the trail. Wild flowers grow everywhere and of course Ruby our dog will be glad to accompany you on your walk. In the fall season the colors are beautiful, with leaves falling.
A full breakfast is served in the morning in the main house where you can watch the colorful birds eating right outside the window and enjoy all the beautiful flowers planted all over.
You can walk around the farm and check out the animals.Note Children must always be accompanied by a parent when checking out the farm.
We are just a mile and half away from the famous Elroy-Sparta bike trail where it meets the Lacrosse River Trail. If you only want to ride half the trail we will go with you in your car and bring it back to the Chamber or where ever you want it and it will be there when you get back for a small charge.

Newly Built B&Bs Do Exist in Wisconsin 02/02/2012 There’s a long-standing myth the B&B industry can’t seem to shake and it’s that all inns are Victorian with antiques and doilies everywhere.  It’s just not so.  Styles of architecture among B&Bs in Wisconsin run from historic mansions to lakeside cabins to ultra-contemporary new builds.  Let’s focus on that last...

Wisconsin B&Bs for Business Travelers 01/31/2012 A Wisconsin B&B may not be the first type of lodging that comes to mind when planning a business trip, but give it a try.  Lots of inns offer corporate rates and even have meeting rooms right on premise.  Other reasons to stay at a B&B for business?  It’s quiet,...

Warm Up with Soup (and Grilled Cheese) 01/25/2012 Some might call it a classic combination – tomato soup and grilled cheese.  Of course, with it being Wisconsin, we always suggest making the sandwich using an artisan cheese.  Download the brochure of artisan cheese varieties and think about pairing two or three cheeses.  Then whip up this recipe for...
