We invite you to come, relax, enjoy our quiet part of the world. Heiwausou is a Japanese word that means, “place of peace” or “peaceful surroundings”. That is what it has been to us since we found it.
We offer peace and solitude on a 40 acre no motor lake in Lac du Flambeau WI, about 12 miles from Minocqua/Woodruff and about 12 miles from Boulder Jct. WI. Our home was designed to fulfill our dream of having the space we needed to share our treasure with others. We wanted someplace so comfortable; it would make you feel at peace.
There is always something to do in this area, including dining in one of the many fine restaurants, shopping in the numerous gift shops, taking an afternoon bike ride on either one of the many bike trails close by or one of the county roads, or hiking in the state forests that are plentiful in our area. In the winter, we can offer many excellent cross county ski trails. We are also not very far from the ski hills of upper Michigan.
If you want to spend a quiet day, you can read in the loft, play board games, or watch a movie. You could also sit by the water and enjoy the loons calling or watch eagles that fly overhead.
Our home offers a choice of two bedrooms each featuring a king-sized bed and private bath with shower
The “Garden Room” which looks out over to the garden, has a more romantic motif with lace and flowers in dusty rose and lilac.
The “Wilderness Room” has a wilderness motif including deer, moose and bear. It features a huge pine king sized bed with pine accessories. It is done in shades of restful greens.
Outside your room is the coffee service, which will have coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or juice that you can take back to your room or take out on the deck off the living room to enjoy the quiet morning. The coffee service will be available at 6:30 each morning. Once the day has begun, a full breakfast will be served at a time that is mutually convenient for all guests.
We want you to come, enjoy our corner of the world where "Everyday is a Saturday"!
Since this is our home, we ask that you abide by our no smoking policy.
Our home is not set up for children or pets.
Our rates are $99.00 per night with a two-night minimum on weekends. If you cannot keep your reservation, we ask that you give us notice. If you cancel your reservation prior to three days you will receive a complete refund. If you give us a 48-hour notice, your refund will be less $25.00. If you do not give notice we will charge you one night’s lodging.
We will take cash, personal checks, Master Card, or Visa
Our check in time is after 3 PM and check out is 11:00 AM.
