Kinni Creek Lodge & Outfitters

A Timeless Vacation...
Years ago, families and friends piled into station wagons and headed for a favorite vacation spot where they could relax, be silly, get enough fresh air and exercise to feel sleepy at night and energized in the morning. It wasn't a fancy destination, but the lodging was comfortable, food was abundant, and the staff greeted you with an honest smile, learned your name and really cared about helping you. Your stay lasted long enough so that you felt like you'd really gotten away from it all. Getting there didn't involve a fixed schedule, oversold seats, rental cars or other harried travelers. Much about the world has changed, but Kinni Creek Lodge & Outfitters has kept that timeless Northwoods philosophy for you!

FLY FISH ~ PADDLE ~ REST
The Kinnickinnic River in River Falls, WI, is unusually cold being spring fed, which makes it a great trout stream. It's also a good kayaking stream, and you can rent kayaks at Kinni Creek Lodge and Outfitters.  Or try fly fishing with one of their guides. The nine-mile kayak trip from River Falls to Kinnickinnic State Park takes most people about three hours, plan extra time to picnic or swim. Or if you prefer, try the Upper Kayak Park with 3 trip lengths to choose from. 1-877-504-9705, www.kinnicreek.com.
The "Kinni" is the Life Blood of our very existence at Kinni Creek Lodge & Outfitters.  Through it we have touched the lives of people from all over the world.  Whether they are paddling a kayak along viewing wildlife or fly fishing the class 1 trout stream each returns to our "Fly-Yak" Gift & Gear shop amazed and renewed in spirit!  If you prefer, bicycle the country roads or hike in and picnic along the banks of the river.  The scenery is spectacular while the wildlife and birds breathe life back into your soul.
Return to our comfy cabin-style lodge on the banks of the Kinni, settle in with a book or relax in a cozy "up North" atmosphere. The lodge has just 3 guest rooms, each are named for areas of the Kinnickinnic River. Rocky Branch, Pete's Creek, & Lower Dam, & all outfitted with log furniture, private baths, TV/VCR/DVDs, wireless internet, hairdryers, bathrobes & fireplaces.

The Ice House Lodge adjacent to the main lodge has a party and meeting room where you can gather to play cards, games, work puzzles, or tell fishing stories. Bring your fly tying kit, scrapbooking or other hobby supplies. You'll have time here.
Wake to the smells of a home cooked breakfast by Chef Paige. Individual rooms include continental or full breakfast. Alternatively, rent the entire cabin at a great rate and use the fully furnished kitchen & outdoor grill.
Call right now, what are you doing that is more important?  Do something for your soul. 1-877- 504-9705. www.kinnicreek.com.
Floating the Kinni is something special!

Two More B&B Myths to Dispel 02.10.2010
Time to dispel a B&B myth or two.  First, there’s this notion that innkeepers hover. Not true. They are there when you need them, but otherwise keep busy behind the scenes while respecting your privacy. Just like the best five-star hotels. Myth #2: You have to eat breakfast at a communal table. The answer in many cases is no.  Some [...]

Performing Arts Season Is Music To B&Bers Ears 02.10.2010
Seems some of our innkeepers believe in the sound of music to soothe the weary traveler.  There’s a Jazz Brunch at Fountain Chateau B&B in Hustler.  A regular sing-along to benefit local charities at the Audubon Inn in Mayville.  And on-site concerts at the Parsonage B&B in Madison and Tufts’ Mansion in Neillsville. In Green [...]

Winners of 2009 Wisconsin B&B Recipe Cook-off 01.11.2010
A comfortable bed is just half of the B&B promise.  The other half is food!  The end of the year brought the second annual Wisconsin B&B cook-off with innkeepers around the state competing for bragging rights.  This year’s featured ingredient was wild rice.  Did you know it’s a grain and tastes incredibly good in both [...]
