Lauerman House Inn
Built as the estate of local businessman Joseph A. Lauerman, in 1910 the house was hailed as one of the most beautiful examples of colonial revival architecture in this part of the Midwest. The ornate birds eye maple, mahogany and elaborate wood trims and original art glass chandeliers reflect the grace and charm of a time when aesthetics were an important part of the design consideration.
