Otter Creek Inn

When you spy this Wisconsin inn from the roadside, you'll be impressed by the charm of its unique setting. The Inn is located high above, but adjacent to, the Otter Creek in Eau Claire Wisconsin. Tucked in among huge trees on a wooded hill, the Otter Creek Inn bed and breakfast beckons with a warm welcome. Whether you're looking for a winter getaway or a summer getaway, this inn has much to offer.

The one-acre wooded lot (all located within city limits) abounds with flowers in the summer, provides a panorama of colored leaves in the fall, and glistens under a snow covered blanket during the Wisconsin winter. The spacious (nearly 6,500 square feet) English Tudor three-story inn is decorated in an inviting, antique-filled, country Victorian decor.

It will enfold you in an aura of yesteryear but will provide you with all the lodging comforts of today. Each guestroom contains a private restroom with shower, a double whirlpool, a coffeemaker, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, radio with CD player, a TV and a VCR. (There are over 250 movies on premises for your use.) Most guestrooms also have a fireplace and a mini-refrigerator.

We serve full breakfasts every day of the week. Our breakfast menu allows a choice of entrees and  serving times.  Breakfast is delivered to your room door every day of the week so that you might enjoy breakfast-in-bed or at the privacy of the table in your room.  On weekends we also serve breakfast in the common dining area.

The Otter Creek Inn is one of the longest operating Wisconsin bed and breakfasts in existence, opening its door for lodging guests in the spring of 1987. In 2003, this Wisconsin inn was voted one of the top fifteen bed and breakfasts with the friendliest innkeepers in the USA.  The Inn was honored to be featured on the cover of the 2005 WBBA Directory Cover, and was chosen as the filming location for a segment aired on ABC's 20/20 television program.

Its location is convenient for the many things the Eau Claire Wisconsin area has to offer. There are fine shopping centers, live theatre, community parks, UW Eau Claire, Lake Altoona, the Chippewa River, and over 100 restaurants within a three-mile radius of the Otter Creek Inn bed and breakfast.

The bike trail crosses in front of the property and connects with the Chippewa River State Trail, for over 40 miles of continuous biking adventure.

You'll discover the Otter Creek Inn is the perfect lodging place to celebrate that special occasion (such as a honeymoon, anniversary, or birthday) in a romantic getaway - or just to rest and relax for a weekend getaway.

Individuals on business travel find the inn a refreshing change from an Eau Claire motel or hotel. Our wireless internet works well with laptop computers, and our early morning weekday full breakfasts (as early as 6:30 AM!)are a great way to start a busy day of calling on clients. All guestrooms are equipped with irons and ironing boards so you'll be in your best form!

The Otter Creek Inn is an unforgettable combination of warmth, romance, comfort, and hospitality; a perfect Eau Claire lodging facility for either corporate lodging or a getaway weekend. The next time you travel Wisconsin, consider an alternative to an Eau Claire hotel and visit the Otter Creek Inn, one of the finest Wisconsin bed and breakfasts, located in Eau Claire Wisconsin.

Two More B&B Myths to Dispel 02.10.2010
Time to dispel a B&B myth or two.  First, there’s this notion that innkeepers hover. Not true. They are there when you need them, but otherwise keep busy behind the scenes while respecting your privacy. Just like the best five-star hotels. Myth #2: You have to eat breakfast at a communal table. The answer in many cases is no.  Some [...]

Performing Arts Season Is Music To B&Bers Ears 02.10.2010
Seems some of our innkeepers believe in the sound of music to soothe the weary traveler.  There’s a Jazz Brunch at Fountain Chateau B&B in Hustler.  A regular sing-along to benefit local charities at the Audubon Inn in Mayville.  And on-site concerts at the Parsonage B&B in Madison and Tufts’ Mansion in Neillsville. In Green [...]

Winners of 2009 Wisconsin B&B Recipe Cook-off 01.11.2010
A comfortable bed is just half of the B&B promise.  The other half is food!  The end of the year brought the second annual Wisconsin B&B cook-off with innkeepers around the state competing for bragging rights.  This year’s featured ingredient was wild rice.  Did you know it’s a grain and tastes incredibly good in both [...]
