Port Washington Inn
"Live like you mean it" and enjoy the best while you "Travel Green, Travel Well, Travel Wisconsin"!
The Port Washington Inn is a proud certified member of the Travel Green Wisconsin Environmental Initiative. In our 13 years as innkeepers we have made concerted efforts to align our property with environmentally friendly and efficient practices. It's a process that can be fun and rewarding! We'll share our successes with you (but only if you ask)!
Good food, well prepared, is important to us and to our guests. "Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin" is fitting; it is what we do! And we share our resources with our guests when they are interested. The farmer's markets throughout the area are our favorite haunts along with local orchards and berry farms. We've pinpointed the locations of our favorites on a Google Map on our website blog: www.portwashingtoninn.com/blog
Although Port Washington often feels air conditioned in comparison to the surrounding countryside, there are still those times when humidity and temperatures combine to make AC desirable. Our Unico air handling system allows us to circulate fresh air or to condition the air throughout the building. Ceiling fans and versatile window treatments allow guests to further control their guestroom environment. Our hot water radiators are quiet and cozy; each guestroom is also equipped with auxiliary electric heat.
Relax into the peaceful privacy and generous hospitality of the historic Port Washington Inn. Set in a quiet residential neighborhood, this bed and breakfast inn enjoys distinctively framed views of Lake Michigan from its perch on Sweetcake Hill. Port Washington Inn offers guests a peaceful location away from traffic while being only 3-5 blocks from Port Washington’s Historic District, restaurants, shops, parks, lighthouse museum, bike trail, and beach.
