Sill's Lakeshore B&B Resort

Come see the best the Northwoods has to offer! An elegant Lakefront property tucked away in a tranquil setting with two seperate "Guest Houses/Cottages" or a whole seperate floor in the main house containing a 2 room Suite - all setup with privacy in mind.  While still allowing you to experience the wonderful features of a "Bed & Breakfast" stay, we've combined it with resort flair for an ultimate Northwoods experience. With only steps to downtown Minocqua shopping (antique and otherwise) and walking distance to great dining, you won't need to drive anywhere to enjoy a great Minocqua vacation. Bike or Hike the Bearskin Trail right outside your door with 20+ miles through beautiful woods and over lakes on an old Railroad Line. Since we are on beautiful Lake Minocqua, jump into the canoe, kayak or paddleboat right on the property. Rent the pontoon for a long, lazy afternoon on our chain of 4 lakes. Or just sit out on the piers (with fishing pole or not), docks or decks and enjoy the beautiful view including some of the most spectacular sunsets.... glass of wine anyone?

The first, the GuestHouse decorated in a French-country style is a self-contained romantic getaway that has seen many honeymoons and special celebrations. This is one of the original buildings on the property and has a rock fireplace, dining nook, full bath and queen bed. Step out your door to a vine-covered arbor with private seating for two and a view of Lake Minocqua.

The second building, the Hill House Cottage is named after the Hill Family, who were owners of the property back in the late 1800's. This cottage, newly built for the B&B Resort, is decorated English Country with darker woods, wonderfully comfortable and exquisite furnishings and fireplace, a queen bed so deep you almost need a platform to climb up, and a great bath complete with whirlpool. It includes a seperate bedroom, living room with kitchenette, dining nook, and has a 10x30 brick patio overlooking Lake Minocqua with your own patio set and gas grill - for that ultimate Northwoods Cottage stay.

The 2-Room Suite in the Main House, fills the entire upper floor. With a "Wild West" theme - logs on the walls and on the queen bed for a wonderfully rustic feel on one side; or an extended bedroom of Victorian Charm - lace with feminine touches and soft pastels onthe other - you can "pick" your sleeping arrangements upon arrival - we're happy to give you a choice! Also in this oversized suite is an large sitting area with TV/DVD/VCR; private full bath and walk-in closet. With it's museum quality collections of old west memorabilia and books, all you cowboys/cowgirls out there won't want to miss this! Or go for the sweet surrender of romance in the Victorian room ... either way an experience we think you won't forget.

All our rooms have mini-refrigerators, microwaves, coffeepots, all necessary servingware/utensils and come with complimentary coffee, teas, misc. hot drinks and popcorn. And of course, all linens and towels are provided free of charge.

We hope that by providing you with all the "tools" of a perfect stay, you can concentrate on experiencing it. Leave your worries behind - come relax, unwind and recharge. That's what we're here for!

Two More B&B Myths to Dispel 02.10.2010
Time to dispel a B&B myth or two.  First, there’s this notion that innkeepers hover. Not true. They are there when you need them, but otherwise keep busy behind the scenes while respecting your privacy. Just like the best five-star hotels. Myth #2: You have to eat breakfast at a communal table. The answer in many cases is no.  Some [...]

Performing Arts Season Is Music To B&Bers Ears 02.10.2010
Seems some of our innkeepers believe in the sound of music to soothe the weary traveler.  There’s a Jazz Brunch at Fountain Chateau B&B in Hustler.  A regular sing-along to benefit local charities at the Audubon Inn in Mayville.  And on-site concerts at the Parsonage B&B in Madison and Tufts’ Mansion in Neillsville. In Green [...]

Winners of 2009 Wisconsin B&B Recipe Cook-off 01.11.2010
A comfortable bed is just half of the B&B promise.  The other half is food!  The end of the year brought the second annual Wisconsin B&B cook-off with innkeepers around the state competing for bragging rights.  This year’s featured ingredient was wild rice.  Did you know it’s a grain and tastes incredibly good in both [...]
