Tritsch House Bed and Breakfast

The Tritsch House is located in quant historic Alma, Wisconsin. This river town is one of many in the area that is hugging the river banks of the Mississippi River.  This Tritsch House is a beautifully restored Queen Anne house nestled into the river bluffs with wonderful views of the River.  The house was built in 1902 by Frank Tritsch - who was the first male child born in the city of Alma. You will love this old home, featuring many older amenities and newer updates throughout. The period rooms with their gorgeous antiques will have you convinced that you have stepped into the last century.

Alma was recently voted the second most scenic city in the State of Wisconsin.  So come and enjoy all the nature has to offer! In Alma you will find walking paths, rivers activities such as boating, fishing, canoe or kayaks, art galleries and wonderful shopping. Enjoy dining out at our number of restaurants in town, including fine dining at Kate & Gracie's, which was recently mention in Gourmet Magazine. Just imagine sitting out with a glass of wine while you watch the beautiful Alma sunset with that someone special.

We feature four guest bedrooms all of which have private bathrooms, three with private two-person Jacuzzi hot tubs.  All of the rooms are lovingly decorated and feature a large flat screen for your enjoyment.  Come and relax on one of our four porches and enjoy the river views or just catch some sun. In the morning, enjoy a deluxe continental breakfast with your choice of juices and/or coffee or tea.

The Tritsch House is under new management and has undergone extensive updating. The new guest keeper, Johnny Elliott, is a young and energetic person who will work hard to make your stay memorable. The Bed & Breakfast features some new and fresh ideas that you will find fun and exciting. So, try out the 8' Olhaussen pool table in the parlor room or watch the big game on the Big Screen. There is plenty to do outside.  Enjoy a nice fire in the pit in the backyard as you gaze among all the stars in the moon lit sky or enjoy a hike up to Buena Vista Park on the Alma Hiking Trail.

In addition to single-room and whole-house rentals, the common area, which includes the living room, kitchen, parlor, and outdoor patio and garden, is available by reservation for your small group event. Call for rates.

Newly Built B&Bs Do Exist in Wisconsin 02/02/2012 There’s a long-standing myth the B&B industry can’t seem to shake and it’s that all inns are Victorian with antiques and doilies everywhere.  It’s just not so.  Styles of architecture among B&Bs in Wisconsin run from historic mansions to lakeside cabins to ultra-contemporary new builds.  Let’s focus on that last...

Wisconsin B&Bs for Business Travelers 01/31/2012 A Wisconsin B&B may not be the first type of lodging that comes to mind when planning a business trip, but give it a try.  Lots of inns offer corporate rates and even have meeting rooms right on premise.  Other reasons to stay at a B&B for business?  It’s quiet,...

Warm Up with Soup (and Grilled Cheese) 01/25/2012 Some might call it a classic combination – tomato soup and grilled cheese.  Of course, with it being Wisconsin, we always suggest making the sandwich using an artisan cheese.  Download the brochure of artisan cheese varieties and think about pairing two or three cheeses.  Then whip up this recipe for...
