Lovetree Farmstead Cheese

Since its founding in 1986, LoveTree has won numerous awards, including being named "Food Artisan of the Year" by Bon Appétit/Food Network. Its Trade Lake Cedar is a robust raw sheep's milk cheese aged on cedar boughs in a fresh, air-aging cave. Gabrielson Lake is sweet and buttery, made from the raw milk of a single Jersey herd. Shepherd's Ridge Creamery

Milking 115 sheep, Jeff and Vicky Simpkins craft four seasonal cheeses at their farmstead creamery near St. Croix Falls. Each hard, raw milk cheese is carefully handcrafted and aged in an underground cave, built right on the farm. The farm and creamery at Shepherd’s Ridge are designed for visitors to come and observe their food being made.
