The Waupaca & chain 'o lakes area have a multitude of wonderful hiking, biking and CC skiing available. The River River Trail is 25 miles of scenic trail that will eventually encircle the entire city of Waupaca. The Tomorrow River Trail is 28 miles of limestone surface and is one of my personal favorites. The Yellowstone Trail, Ice Age Trail, Wau-King Trail and the many trails at Hartman Creek State Park and the WI Rustic Road are fantastic. You can also CC Ski here as well as 4 miles of lighted trails at the Iola Winter Sports Complex (also features ski jumping and the Feb. Badger State Games) and Mt. Morris also has tubing and downhill skiing!

The Sheboygan Jaycee trails at Jaycee, Evergreen and Maywood parks in Sheboygan include 8.6 miles of groomed ski trails and 5.1 miles of snowshoeing trails. About two miles of ski trails are lighted for night skiing. Access is free. For conditions and other information call (920) 467-2099, or visit www.skinnyski.com/trails/reports.asp. Kohler-Andrae State Park in Sheboygan features a two-mile groomed ski trail. Snowshoeing is allowed anywhere in the park, except on the ski trail. A Wisconsin State Parks sticker is required. The Greenbush Recreation Area in the Kettle Moraine State Forest Northern Unit in Greenbush features 10 miles of groomed ski trails, 1.2 miles of lighted ski trails, a heated log shelter house and seven miles of snowshoeing trails.
